Engaging Communities From the Ground Up With The Coral Project

Comments sections and other collaborative spaces often fall short of their potential to stoke new ideas, galvanize civic interest and connect people on topics they love. In this session, we invite newsrooms of all sizes to provide input into The Coral Project, whose goal is to improve community engagement on news sites through open-source software. The Coral Project is a collaboration among Mozilla, The New York Times and The Washington Post, funded by a grant from the Knight Foundation.
