What warrants closer examination this year?<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019ll be looking to make sure these topic areas are covered at ONA15 \u2026 and will of course be including many, many more of your ideas.<!--more--><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b><b>Elections: <\/b><\/b>The 2016 Presidential election campaign will be in full swing by this fall, and we\u2019ll be exploring better ways to look at community data, coverage, verification and audience engagement.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><b><b>Media impact: <\/b><\/b>A number of innovative media impact research projects are under way, and it&#8217;s time to take a hard look at how we define the term and, of course, how we measure it.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><b><b>Revenue: <\/b><\/b>Revenue projections continue to fluctuate, and the question of how we continue to pay for quality arose frequently in feedback for ONA14. Let\u2019s talk about what pays, what doesn\u2019t and where news organizations\u2019 resources are best allocated.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><b><b>Creative content creation<\/b>: <\/b>Collaborative start-ups, the expanding role of branded content and new platforms to make creative publishing easier are emerging \u2014 what are journalists doing with these tools to share narratives in creative ways?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Collaborative news community: <\/b>The last few years have seen some incredible efforts in newsrooms collaborating with communities. Curious City, De Correspondent, Reported.ly and others have built inspiring models for connecting and engaging with an audience. How are their models working, and what other inspiring ideas might be out there?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>These are just a few examples of issues we hope to cover at ONA15, and we\u2019ll include so much more.
