He oversees content from a wide range of journalists who contribute to the BBC\u2019s online, on demand and multimedia output. He also has responsibility for introducing new digital tools and ways of working to the BBC\u2019s news teams. Steve has led the BBC\u2019s online coverage of major stories such as the UK general election, the Arab Spring and the Japanese tsunami, bringing live and social newsgathering and reporting to the forefront of the BBC\u2019s digital output. During his time as Editor, BBC News Online won a succession of awards, including a Peabody award and the ONA\u2019s Online Journalism Award for general excellence.
