Midway programming is set, and this year will feature 50+programs — including office hours, demos, hands-on-trainings, make-and-build sessions and other unique events. Among the highlights:

  • Banjo will unveil its latest product offering aimed at helping journalists access real-time content at home and abroad to break stories faster..
  • Intrigued by 3-D/Virtual Reality,  digital news preservation, the emerging field of journalism and the game-changing capabilities of wearable technologies for news organizations? Then you’ll want to participate in the Donald W. Reynolds Journalism Institute (RJI) programming. RJI will host activities, office hours and sessions, including taking 3-D portraits daily.
  • Don’t miss the hands-on session with Robert Hernandez and Omara Aguilar from the University of Southern California’s (USC) Annenberg School for Communication as they experiment with innovation and storytelling. USC  is also the sponsor of the official Midway photo booth.
  • We all know graphics are everything in today’s world. Join one of ONA’s newest exhibitors, Maps4News, for hands-on training and demos in making custom maps to enliven reporting. The team notes that the sessions are designed for all attendees, from “nimble newbie to the chief cartographer and everyone in between.”

There’s more ahead. Stay tuned and follow #ONA15MW for schedules and updates!
