Áine is Managing Editor of Storyful; the first social media agency in the world. Áine oversees the company's editorial operations in Sydney, Hong Kong, Dublin and New York across its News and Creative divisions. Storyful has built its reputation in mining the social web for high value User Generated Content [UGC]. The agency discovers, verifies, acquires and distributes content to the world’s biggest newsrooms, advertisers and publishers. Áine joined Storyful in July 2011, operating first as its Political Editor before becoming Content Editor with responsibility for setting up its viral video licensing unit. Prior to joining Storyful, she was a senior journalist and Political Correspondent with The Irish Times, The Irish Examiner and The Irish Independent. Áine has a Masters of Journalism and Bachelor of Education with Dublin City University.
