Barbara is a Program Officer at the Ford Foundation in New York City, overseeing a portfolio of journalism and media grants designed to support high-quality investigative reporting, press freedoms worldwide, and diversity. She came to Ford after 20 years as a senior writer and producer at NBC News, and before that, at the local CBS News station in Chicago. Barbara is a longtime freelance contributor to print and digital publications, former national legal correspondent for Sirius OutQ News and a frequent moderator and public speaker. She dreams of hosting a blockbuster podcast.
