Doug is the founder and leader of NPR's "next generation radio'" a multimedia training and professional development camp for college students interested in public media. Also, he teaches a field reporting class at Georgetown University, taking students to New Mexico to report on Native America. He's an alum of the Knight international Press Fellowship program and Fulbright Senior Specialist Program, serving both times in Santiago Chile. He volunteers a lot of time to sit on selection committees and sits on three journalism related Boards.
