As deputy editor of Newsday.com and head of emerging technologies, Greg oversees the day-to-day editorial direction of the website and mobile apps, directs social media strategy and manages special interactive and data projects. He leads Newsday's efforts to develop new Android and iOS apps as well as improve UX on existing ones, and to design experiences for emerging technologies such as wearables. Greg also trains staff in breaking news coverage, mobile, desktop and social media strategy, and oversees planning of Award-winning interactive projects integrating multimedia content with investigative reporting to create powerful digital narratives. He still thinks there is a lot to learn from legacy media. In his other lives, Greg was a development worker in Morocco and Peru, owned a horse in Iceland and worked at the Laboratory for Astronomy and Solar Physics at NASA Goddard.
