Gregg has been a staff attorney with the Reporters Committee since 1994, where he has coordinated the committee's work helping journalists understand and defend their rights. He also serves as editor of the Reporters Committee's news publications and guides. He worked as a freelance writer for several publications before law school, and was a writer and research director for a local business and political magazine. Gregg has served as chairman of the D.C. Bar's Media Law Committee and Arts, Entertainment, Media and Sports Law section, and was a member of the American Bar Association's Fair Trial and Free Press Task Force.
