Sydette's work has been featured in Salon.com, ModelViewCulture, Bitch.com and Pitchfork. She has been online in one form or another as Blackamazon, a black feminist social commentator. Since 2007 Sydette has been invested in creating community, cultural commentary and the joys of the internet.
