This post was written by Christine Johnson, our #ONA15 Midway Producer.

Make sure that a visit to the Midway is part of your ONA15 plan. You’ll get a hands-on look at what’s new in tech tools for journalists via dozens of quick-hit information sessions and demos.

And did we mention NASA will be there?

Learn from a NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory team about how they used social media, AR, and VR to tell the story of the Mars mission. You might even get a chance to cover the 2016 launch and landing of InSight on Mars, the first interplanetary spacecraft to take off from the West Coast. The team will also share info about the Juno spacecraft and Junocam — a color camera aboard the spacecraft that will get the job done via crowdsourcing. Juno arrives at Jupiter in July 2016.

  • Alley Interactive will be on hand to talk about what’s new with the company, which has been busy designing and building sites for top digital publishers. Alley will host office hours to chat about how they can help you build a better media site, streamline your editorial workflow and improve user experience.
  • iCopyright experts will show you how to leverage your content through easy syndication.
  • The Experiment Engine team will demo a/b testing for publishers to strategically improve site experiences for increased engagement and ad revenue.
  • Overwhelmed by all the media conferences (well, besides  #ONA15) out there? Wish you could search conferences by city, topic or date?  Junto Ventures / Calkins Media has put together a prototype to solve this problem and is looking for beta testers.

We look forward to seeing you as you check out these and other cutting-edge participants who will make the Midway a don’t-miss at #ONA15.
